What you need to do before starting on supervision:
Graduate with a Master’s degree in a counseling related field from an accredited institution https://ope.ed.gov/dapip/#/home
Obtain your Associate Professional Counselor License through PALS website
Submit a supervision plan, I will provide my CV
Pass one of these examinations - can be done at the end of your 3,000 hours.
The National Counselor Examination for Licensure and Certification (NCE) given by the National Board for Certified Counselors.
The Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) Examination given by the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification.
The Art Therapy Credentials Board (ATCB) Certification Examination given by ATCB
The Board Certification Examination given by Certification Board for Music Therapists.
The practice examination of psychological knowledge given by the North American Association of Master's in Psychology (NAMP).
The Advanced Alcohol & Other Drug Abuse Counselor Examination (AAODA) given by the International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium/Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Inc. (IC & RC/AODA).
The Examination for Master Addictions Counselors (EMAC) given by National Board for Certified Counselors.
Proof of malpractice insurance, it is a good idea to have your own policy.
What I can provide:
Assistance through the initial licensing process, unfortunately until you get your Associate Professional Counselor License you will not be able to count the hours, but I can provide assistance in getting to that point, if the list above feels overwhelming.
Supervision of 1,500 hours by offering individual and group supervision.
You will need 1 hour of individual ($150) and 1 hour of group ($50) for every 40 hours you work.
