As a sole proprietor company, this section is really about me and why I am providing the services. How very vain. But here goes…
I am KayLee Taylor LCSW. I received my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Utah. I completed most of my licensing hours in Utah, then moved to Pennsylvania where I completed my LCSW in 06/2019.
In Pennsylvania, I have primarily worked in the; Philadelphia, Montgomery, and Buck’s County area. I work with clients of all ages and backgrounds. I am comfortable working with all genders. My areas of specialty are; trauma ( level 1 certified in EMDR through HAP), anxiety, depression, disordered eating (CSTS), teens, female issues - including infertility, and working with the LGBTQ+ (especially transgender clients). I am very good at navigating difficult family dynamics, especially with minors and addressing client safety concerns.
Outside of my clinical work, I have provided pro-bono or volunteer work in the following areas; suicide awareness (AFSP), child welfare (in the past as a CASA, currently through AHW), catastrophe response (Philly MRC), and social work society (PSCSW).
In my last position, I was a supervisor for fully licensed therapists. I was troubled by reports of areas that had not been covered during their two years of supervised work. I was also troubled by hearing how much they were paying for supervision, while I do need to pay my own bills, I also understand that therapists who are working on their licensing do not make very much money. I wanted to support the efficacy of our field, while also providing therapists with their money’s worth of supervision.
You may have noticed by reading the other sections that I am very detail oriented. I encourage those I work with to double check my work, you should always get your information from the source, and not just assume the person knows what they are talking about. I will do my best to provide you with the sources of my information, so that you may look further into the information I am giving you.
As a supervisor, I am not the type to be your best friend. However if you are practicing ethically, I will have your back. But know that if you are practicing unethically, I will be the biggest thorn in your side. In our supervision, you are allowed to be a human, and receive the help and support you need.
I came to the field of Social Work because of my love for people. I have found that same love in helping therapists to help people.
